Van Morrison Releases Special Edition 7” for Record Store Day, 21 April 2018
Record Store Day is a worldwide celebration of vinyl and one of the biggest annual events in the music calendar. This year, Van Morrison is celebrating with the release of a special edition 2 track 7”. The EP includes two tracks “Close Enough For Jazz” and "The Things I Used To Do" from the much anticipated brand new collaborative album You're Driving Me Crazy with jazz organ virtuoso Joey DeFrancesco.
“Close Enough For Jazz”, a Morrison original from the album Too Long in Exile has been completely reinterpreted as an exciting, up-tempo track, showcasing the chemistry between Morrison and DeFrancesco. This is complimented by a stunning jazz rendition of Guitar Slim's "The Things I Used To Do".
The release of You're Driving Me Crazy on April 27th caps more than a year of non-stop activity for Van Morrison, who released his 37th and 38th studio albums (Roll with the Punches and Versatile) in quick succession in the fall and winter of 2017. Roll With The Punches became his 13th album to reach the Top 10 of the U.K. charts, while Versatile topped Billboard's jazz chart.
